Our 2010 CSA Farm Fresh Food Club will consist of an eighteen week Full-season Share from June 17 through October 14. For those with summer gardens or who are away much of the summer, we offer a six week Fall Share from September 9 through October 14.The Full Season share is available in small and large sizes.
Members will come to Rehoboth Homestead (map) on Thursday afternoons from 3 to 6:30 p.m. to select from a buffet of fresh vegetables.
The weekly large share will provide a variety of vegetable dishes and salad for four or five meals for two or three adults. Members choose 8 to 12 items from a variety of offerings. The small share gets half portions of some things and fewer selections. The June offerings are smaller than later offerings to avoid swamping you in greens, but it is made up later. Your eating pattern will determine how much of your vegetable consumption is covered by a CSA Farm Fresh Food Club Share. You can check the blog to see how the plantings are progressing.
Some items (beans and peas, cherry tomatoes, herbs, etc) will be pick-your-own. These are things that we either can’t predict how many folks will want, or take little time to pick one share’s worth, but a lot of time to pick for all the shares. We will try to have some picked ahead for those who cannot physically harvest or who have babies in the car or are in a time crunch. Frequently some of our members will pick extra for those who can’t pick.
A deposit of $100 or more will secure your membership until June 1st, when full payment is due, though we appreciate getting the bookkeeping out of the way by mid-May. Full season large shares cost $475. Full season small shares cost $275. Fall shares cost $175 if paid before June 1, $200 after that (many of our fall crops are planted in June).
